Michael A. Sisk, MD-Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Sisk is a graduate of Furman University and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. After pediatric residency at Wake Forest and Duke he served in the US Army as a pediatrician for two years at the rank of Major. He returned to Duke for an NIH sponsored Child Neurology fellowship and Adult Neurology residency. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Adult and Child Neurology, and EEG. As the senior member of Roanoke Neurological Associates, his greatest satisfaction has been the privilege of introducing what was then a new pediatric subspecialty to Southwest Virginia. As an Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the University of Virginia he has enjoyed his years of enthusiastic participation in teaching hundreds of medical students, residents and other medical professionals and lay groups.
		J. Gordon Burch, MD Dr. Burch is a Canadian by birth in Edmonton, Alberta where he grew up. He received a BA in Classics in 1963 from the University of Alberta and graduated with an MD from the same school. He completed an internship and year of training in Internal Medicine in Toronto before moving to the US. He completed his neurology residency training at Duke University Medical Center, and then served as Chief of Neuro Service at Durham, VAH and assistant professor of neuro and peds neuro at Duke. From 1977-79 Dr. Burch was Vice Chair of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and director of the residency training program there. Board Certified in Neurology since 1974 and Fellow of Royal College of Medicine & Surgery (Canada) since 1973. Professional memberships include Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and member of Canadian Neuro Society. Dr. Burch and his wife Carolyn have 4 children and eleven grandchildren. His love outside of medical practice and family is horsemanship and trail riding.
		James T. Wilson, III, MD-Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Wilson is a native of Wythevillle, Va and received his BS degree from Emory and Henry College. He attended the Medical College of Virginia where he received his MD degree followed by three years of Pediatric residency at MCV prior to his three year fellowship in Child Neurology at the University of Minnesota. In 1982 he returned to the Medical College of Virginia for a year of fellowship in Electroencephalography and in 1984 was Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology before going into private practice in Bristol, TN. In 1985 he joined Roanoke Neurological Associates. He is Board Certified in Neurology with special competence in Child Neurology, Pediatrics and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Wilson is a member of the Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Neurology, Medical Society of Virginia and the American Medical Association. He presently has the clinical appointment as Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology, Roanoke Program, University of Virginia. His wife is a family nurse practitioner and they have three children.
		Christopher Scherer, MD Dr. Scherer is a native of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Vincent College under a lacrosse scholarship and received a BS in Biology. After receiving an MD degree at Penn State University he completed his Internal Medicine internship at Wake Forest University. He completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Virginia and went on to complete a fellowship in Neuro-muscular disorders at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Scherer joined Roanoke Neurological Associated in 1997. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Neurology, AMA, and Virginia Medical Society. He received his neurology boards in 1997. Dr. Scherer has served as a board member of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospitals' Medical Executive Committee, as well as on the board of the Roanoke Academy of Medicine. He received the annual medicine resident teaching award in 2005. Dr Scherer is married to Laura Stine from Bassett, Virginia and they are currently expecting twins.
		Mark A. Scialabba, MD Dr. Scialabba was born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended The City College of New York where he was awarded his BS degree in Biology. After earning his MD degree at the University of Palermo, Italy, he completed a residency in Internal Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He received his neurology training at Cornell North Shore University Hospital and the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York. He founded Findlay Neurological Associates in Findlay, Ohio in 1991 where he practiced general neurology for ten years before joining Roanoke Neurological Associates in 2001.   Dr. Scialabba is Board Certified in Neurology and is an active member in the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Scialabba holds a Faculty appointment as Associate Clinical Professor of Neurology with the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia. He is active in teaching medical students from the University of Virginia as well as interns and residents from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salem. Dr. Scialabba practices general neurology with a special interest in headache diagnosis and management

		Tairy Adams, P.A.     Tairy graduated from Laurel Park High School in Martinsville, VA in 1996. She then attended Radford University where she received her BS degree in Physical Education/Sports Medicine.  To further her education, she attended the Jefferson College of Health Sciences where in 2004 she received her BS degree in Biomedical Sciences and acquired her license as a Physician Assistant.  Tairy is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Inc. Tairy joined Roanoke Neurological Associates in January 2008 and is a welcome addition!
